We couldn’t have a week on Gose beers without consulting the wife, Michaela has embraced her responsibility of looking at sours and Gose beers with open arms. I dare say she has even developed a taste for them.
1. Name : Darkwing
2. Brewery: Duck Pond Brewing (Sweden)
3. Hops : N/A
4. Grain : Barley, Oats, Wheat
5. Aroma : Blackcurrent smoothie with a hint of grass
6. Appearance : Opaque, beetroot purple with a tight pale pink head.
7. Body : Medium bodied, with good carbonation but poor head retention.
8. Taste : Very tart stewed fruit compote, with a wash of vanilla and a prickle of salt towards the end.
This was a mouth-watering, mouth puckering Gose full of stewed tart fruits with a cheeky dash of Vanilla. This one has got to be one of your 5 a day, what a cracker! More please Sam!
