Funky Fluid – Pink Splash, Double Fruited Gose (3.6% ABV)

Welcome Back to the Eternal Hoptimist.

Not content with just one review, Kayla is back for another Gose review in our everything must Gose week!.

This time she is checking out Pink Splash by Funky Fluid, another Gose with a somewhat unusual name.

1. Name : Pink Splash

2. Brewery: Funky Fluid (Poland)

3. Hops :  N/A

4. Grain :  Barley, Oats, Wheat

5. Aroma :  Strong scent of guava and sour fruits with a touch of sparkling mineral water

6. Appearance :  Hazy Raspberry red with a pink film when poured.

7. Body : Medium bodied, low carbonation with no head retention.

8. Taste :  Tastes like sour cherry Haribo, with lashings of passionfruit and guava finishing in a minerally aftertaste.

After the last one I had some high hopes for this one. However I found that this one reminded me more of a fruity wine than a Gose beer.

It wasn’t as punchy as the last one and was no where near as sour. However, despite its low sourness it still delivered on flavour.

Our overall rating: 3.5/ 5.0
