Welcome Back to the Eternal Hoptimist.
Today we are looking at our final beer of our Everything must Gose segment of 2023. We will of course be re-visiting the style throughout the year, but we will wait until the weather gets a smidge warmer!
1. Name : Forever Buzzing
2. Brewery: Left Handed Giant Brewing (Bristol)
3. Hops : N/A
4. Grain : Barley & Wheat
5. Aroma : Strong aroma of sour blackberries and mixed autumnal fruits.
6. Appearance : Opaque strawberry Jam, with a tight pink head when poured.
7. Body : Full bodied almost Jam like, with ok carbonation but poor head retention.
8. Taste : Slightly sour blackberry jam, with a hit of berry, which draws into a dry bitterness to finish.
This one was very pleasing, not too sour, but very moreish, and incredibly fruity. I was more akin to a blackberry smoothie than a beer but it lacked the thirst quenching finish. I can imagine this one would be cracking on a summers eve!
