Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Another modern style porter today. I expect this to be on the sweet side but hopefully not too sweet. I must confess to not eating much marshmallow since my childhood when I had a very sweet tooth.

- Name : Stay Puft
- Brewery: Tiny Rebel, Newport, Wales
- Hops : Not stated
- Grain : Malted barley, wheat and oats
- Aroma : Some roast malt but mainly a sweet confectionary aroma
- Appearance : Black with a reddish brown head. This was a very lively can with an effervescent pour
- Body : Medium body, medium carbonation with great head retention
- Taste : Roasted malts then an intense sweetness that lingers long after a surprisingly dry finish.
- Dietary restrictions : Possible allergens highlighted
Well despite the doubts over the sweetness this proved to be a very pleasing beer. Its dark, complex and intense underneath the sweetness. Excellent smooth mouthfeel and great head retention help to make this an impressive beer.
Everything you might expect from a modern style porter and certainly a beer I will be drinking again.
