Wild Card- Pale Ale (4.3% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists.

John is pulling out a wildcard this afternoon and trying their Pale Ale! Let’s see what he made of it!

  1. Name: Pale Ale
  2. Brewery: Wild Card Brewery
  3. Hops: Citra, Ekuanot, and Cascade
  4. Aroma:  A strong Wheaty aroma, and a slight hop, smells like a wheat beer
  5. Appearance: Hazy pale, with a nice white head when poured which dissipated to a mist.
  6. Body:  Medium to heavy body but, quite light on the pallet, very good carbonation, poor head retention
  7. Taste: Quite hoppy and wheaty upfront, with a cheeky fruityness at the back not a heavy beer, but has plenty of flavour, and is refreshing and quite mouth-watering.

at 4.3% this is firmly in the session category, and i certainly wouldn’t mind sessioning this one, it isn’t full on flavour, but it does what it can very well and is quite quaffable.

Our overall rating: 3.5/ 5.0
