Today Sam is checking out another Beer from Tartarus beers, this on was brewed in collaboration with Thiccc Sauce.
This one contains Chipotle & Scotch Bonnet chillies, cinnamon, vanilla & chocolate. Needless to say the other members of T|E|Hs were a little weary of this one.. but you only live once!
1. Name : Huay Chivo
2. Brewery: Tartarus Beers X Thicc Sauce
3. Hop: Jester & Bramling Cross
4. Grain : Barley
5. Aroma : Spiced chocolate, with a light malt.
6. Appearance : Very Dark with thin tight a mushroom coloured head when pored.
7. Body : Medium to thick boided, very smooth almost velvety with an appropriate level of carbonation but poor head retention.

This one was certainly an experience, the spices are well balanced, adding to the flavour of the base beer, rather than distracting from the beer overall.
If your a fan of chilli stouts, this one is a must buy and try!
However, a word of warning as the aftertaste lasts for ‘days’, and although it helps mask the alcoholic burn, it soon builds up to quite the spicy mouthful , and with its hefty 11.3% ABV it wouldn’t take many to make you breathe fire and subsequently fall over.
So no more than two or three for me!
