Saltaire Brewery x Ellie Way – Acadia New England IPA (6.0% ABV)

Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,

A collaboration beer but not between two breweries. The collaborator here is a local designer Ellie Way on the can artwork. “Inspired by 20th century Travel Posters, Ellie’s designs celebrate the diverse scenic, architectural and cultural landscapes of West Yorkshire.” Well, we can agree the can art is appealing and has that old-school poster feel and its great to see local businesses and creatives working together.

There is a trend to add more and more hops in the US style IPAs, but here is a softer more subtle New England. Nicely balanced and easy on the palate makes for a pleasurable drink, proving that sometimes less is more. One I could easily drink all evening, but the strength is a true IPA so drink in moderation as they say.
