Bini Brew Co – Over the Manhole cover, DIPA (8.0% ABV)

Welcome Back to the Eternal Hoptimist.

Sam is out and about again, but for a change its not a beer festival. However, I’m sure he will be visiting another shortly!

He actually went to Bini Brew Co’s Grand Tap (Leeds) Opening and was part of the first group through the doors, unfortunately it was a fleeting visit, as we had an interview lined up that day, but a revisit is fast approaching on the horizon.

Despite his fleeting visit he did get to try quite a few beers, this one is the first so lets see what he thought!

1. Name :  Over the Manhole Cover
2. Brewery: Bini Brew Co
3. Grain :  Malted Barley
4. Aroma : Citrus heavy with a plentiful hoppy backing.
5. Appearance : Opaque Orange colour with a white film head when poured.
6. Body : Medium to full bodied, good carbonation, and decent retention.
7. Taste :  Heavy, dank, fruity and ever so slightly floaty. It has a bitterness that hits the back of your mouth and grows making your mouth water.

Dietary requirements : Vegan Friendly

A little to dangerous for a starter at 8% but you only live once! Definitely worth trying its the bigger brother to under the man hole cover which is Bini’s flagship tipple, that is very nice too if you get the chance,

Our overall rating: 4.0/ 5.0
