Sam is out and about again, this time he has wandered across to the Tartarus Tap room, and he has picked up a lovely looking stout for this weeks stouturday post!
1. Name : Rainbow Serpent
2. Brewery: Tartarus Beers
3. Aroma : Sweet waft of vanilla sweetness and deep chocolate notes.
4. Appearance : Very Dark, touch of red at the edges with a decent latte to cappuchino coloured head when poured.
5. Body : Full Bodied, good carbonation, with very good head retention.
6. Taste : Deep Malt start followed by a twist of vanilla and a hit of chocolate, a slight kick and warmth follow but no alcohol burn.
This one was lip smacking good and at 5.8% you can afford to have another! It was deep and rich in flavour, and gave you everything you wanted from a rocky road stout, more please!
