Tartarus Beers – Ratatoskr, Pale Ale(4.4% ABV)

Welcome Back to the Eternal Hoptimists.

Today we have a guest reviewer, Andy is a ex Video Game Programmer and now Software engineer from Manchester (we will try not to hold that against him). He is a big lover of West Coast IPAs, and as he was visiting Sam in Leeds it was only right that he accompany him on a little trip to the Tartarus Tap Room!

1. Name :  Ratatoskr
2. Brewery: Tartarus Beers
3. Aroma : The scent of a fresh running stream with a light hop backing
4. Appearance : Opaque golden to amber in colour with a thin tight white head when poured.
5. Body : Medium bodied with a loose carbonation, but with poor head retention
6. Taste :  This as a very light palate, and is refreshingly summery, with a healthy dose of hop and barley flavour.

This is a nice Mid beer that I would be happy to receive mid-session to have a nice palate cleanse, but its not something I could have a session on solely, but not bad by any stretch!

Our overall rating: 3.2/ 5.0
