Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists!
The weather over the past week has been sub tropical, and so Michaela has been taking advantage of it and has been on a bit of a beery binge, not only did she do several reviews at the Saltaire brewery beer festival, but she’s been popping the sours too.
Today she is taking a look at one of Vault City’s tipples, this one is a little unusual though as its not a straight modern sour, its a sour table beer!

- Name: Peach Ice Tea, Table Beer
- Brewery: Vault City Brewery, Scotland
- Hops: N/A
- Grain: Barley, Wheat, Oat
- Aroma : A mighty hit of the sweet scent of peaches with a slight sourness at the back.
- Appearance : Opaque dark peachy/ cloudy amber with a tight white head when poured
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated, very good head retention.
- Taste: Strong sour punch, with a nice after taste of peach that makes the mouth water.
This one was a little too sour for me, it wasn’t quite the sweet sensation i was expecting from a peach ice tea, but it was a good level of flavour for the ABV, and was far from unpleasant.
Our overall rating: 3.5/ 5.0
