Welcome back to our two week showcase of all things Powder Monkey!
John is back on it again, this time he is checking out their highly recommended Pale Ale.
- Name : Fearless Monkey
- Brewery: Powder Monkey Brewing co, Gosport, Hampshire
- Hops : Lemondrop and Calypso
- Grain : N/A
- Aroma : Strong scents of lemon & Citrus with a hoppy undertone.
- Appearance : A slightly hazed Amber colour with a frothy white head when poured.
- Body : Light bodied, well carbonated, and good head retention.
- Taste : Strong lemon and citrus punch, which then morphs to a lovely hoppy flavour before mellowing allowing the malts through, giving it a malty finish.
I can see why this one comes highly recommended, it has a little of everything for everyone, its citrusy, hoppy and has some moreish malt too. I can see this one being a massive hit at beer festivals, as it doesn’t divide the crowd, its unites them.
