Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists Spookoween 2023 special.
Today Sam is probing another beer from Phantom Brewing Co, and it promises to be an abduction of the tastebuds!
- Name: UFOMG
- Brewery: Phantom Brewing Co
- Hops: Azacca, Eldarado, & Bru-1
- Aroma: Some dank citrus, a little grass, & Hop.
- Appearance: Hazed dirty straw colour, with a pillow-like white head when poured.
- Body: Medium bodied, well carbonated with cracking head retention.
- Taste: Quite a powerful punch of beer, a smack of hop and a good level of citrus flavour giving it a modern dank IPA feel, but it was a little dry on the finish!
Very nice, a little high in the ABV for a session-able tipple, but I’m certainly not going to use my Phaser on it. It hasn’t quite abducted me to new heights, but it is a very good example of a modern IPA, and I tip my space helmet to them.
