Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Today Sam is dipping his toes into a new brewery that has appeared on our radar, we are of course referring to AZVEX Brewing. They came highly recommended by our friends at Trembling Madness, and also have had a recent nod from the Craft Dogg too.
- Name : Electric Butterfly
- Brewery: AZVEX Brewing Co
- Hops : Eldorado, Lorel, & Citra
- Grain : N/A
- Aroma : Fresh cut grass, with a smattering of hops and lime
- Appearance : Incredibly pale and slightly hazed with a open white head when poured
- Body : Medium bodied, good carbonation but low head retention.
- Taste : Light, and easy drinking, with a tang of hop and a citrus burst, before mellowing back to hop creating a slightly dry finish.
This was certainly an easy drinking pale, it had a lovely hop tang, and a moreish whack of citrus. I’m surprised more people are not drinking this one, AZVEX is a new one on my radar, but we have a few of these in the cupboard now, lets hope this one is the start of a beautiful new discovery.
