Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Today Sam is back again trying out another tipple from AZVEX Brewing, this time its the Magnificent tree Frog, but will it be as Electrifying as the Electric Butterfly?
- Name : Magnificent Frog
- Brewery: AZVEX Brewing Co
- Hops : Citra, Strata, Eldorado
- Grain : N/A
- Aroma : Quite malty with a hit of Grapefruit & a hoppy backing
- Appearance : Clear very pale, with a tight white head when poured.
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated with an ok level of head retention.
- Taste : Strong grapefruit kick, with a slight woody maltiness leading to an unusual aftertaste, but again resulting in a dry finish.
This one certainly has a more complex flavour profile than its electric butterfly sister. But I think this one is a little muddy, and that takes away from the overall experience as it doesn’t seem to want to pick a direction it leaves the taste buds a little perplexed!
