Hello and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Juice Shack is a little old place where we can drink a beer, well actually, no it’s not. In this case it’s the beer, not the venue that is the Juice Shack and it is an intriguing sounding tropical session IPA coming in at a very low yet extremely sessionable 3.4% abv.
The can states that this is full flavoured with tropical vibes, so all is sounding good. Here’s hoping that after I’ve finished this one, I’ll be bang, banging on the door for more of this funky little shack.

1. Name : Juice Shack
2. Brewery: Tiny Rebel (Newport, Wales)
3. Hops : Not stated
4. Grain : Barley & Wheat
5. Aroma : Has a sweet yet tropical nose with pineapple, passion fruit and mango the prominent aromas. Aroma gives off vibes of Haribo sweets.
6. Appearance : Pours a hazy straw colour with quickly dissipating one finger white head
7. Body : This has a nice body with a good mouthfeel for such a low strength beer
8. Taste : Tropical flavours evident as soon as this hits the palate with a slight coconut and sweet popcorn edge and punchy hop bitterness that lingers. This has a very powerful array of flavours that might be a little too much for some, but I like it.
9. Allergens: Cereals containing gluten
What can I say other than Tiny Rebel has done quite a good job with Juice Shack as this is a very flavoursome full-bodied beer that belies it’s low ABV. I will be honest in saying that although this is a pleasant beer that I enjoyed, I am not sure that I could session on it as the lingering and strong flavours might prove too much after a couple of cans but a 330ml can or two would certainly be enjoyable. If I were to have more than this, I might find myself not wanting to return to this often but after drinking this single review can, I will certainly be back for more when I see it again.
Overall, I would say that Juice Shack is another Tiny Rebel hit that you should keep your eyes open for but perhaps just pick up one or two cans rather than clearing the shelf as the powerful flavour profile might prove a little too much for some.
