Hello and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Down, Down Forward, Forward (Any punch button)……..Hadouken!!!!
This alone brings back so many memories of possibly my favourite ever arcade game, Street Fighter 2. I do not want to imagine how many hours and how much money I spent playing this classic, so when I found out that one of the beers featured in the Tiny Rebel selection box was called Hadouken, I simply had to put my name down for this.
I’m Shoryuken appreciate how much I am looking forward to this amplified IPA, so let’s not mess around any longer and bring on this new challenger.

1. Name : Hadouken
2. Brewery: Tiny Rebel (Newport, Wales)
3. Hops : Not stated
4. Grain : Barley & Wheat
5. Aroma : Punchy hops cutting through the tropical aromas, this smells very nice indeed
6. Appearance : Pours amber in colour with a dissipating one finger white head
7. Body : Full bodied beer with a nice, almost creamy mouthfeel
8. Taste : This has a taste that takes you back to when IPA’s first became popular with the craft beer (sonic) boom. The beer has a very pleasant flavour profile with delicate tropical notes that are balanced well using the hops that create an extremely moreish taste.
9. Allergens: Cereals containing gluten
Hadouken is a beer that was first created by the Tiny Rebel brewers Brad & Gazz in their garage in their homebrew days, and boy has this one aged well. Whilst the hops in this do not give you a hundred hand slap in the face like many modern-day IPA’s everything about this just works so well. It would be fair to say that this is a beer that is beautifully balanced, easy drinking and extremely moreish.
I will always love Street Fighter 2, I now love Hadouken and I could easily sink a few of these, however at 7% abv if you were to drink too many it could be like encountering a Bison head stomp. I will certainly be keeping my eyes open for this again in the future and inserting my coins into whichever retailer I see stocking this, a very nice beer indeed…..Tiny Rebel, You win!
