Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
I selected this one out of the Christmas box because it has the potential to be a very interesting beer. It promises to blend the character of lager with notes of IPA.

- Name : Lost Art
- Brewery: Tiny Rebel, Newport, Wales
- Hops : Not specified
- Grain : Malted barley and malted wheat
- Aroma : Sharp citric notes
- Appearance : Pale gold, hazy with a white head
- Body : Medium bodied, medium carbonated but with poor head retention
- Taste : Soft rather than sharp, bitter and hoppy. The finish is citrus and dry.
- Dietary restrictions : Allergens highlighted. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans
More body than lager but not as much as an IPA.
For me it is an interesting experiment but ends up being neither one nor other. Ideally you would be looking at pairing the best qualities of both beers, but it doesn’t quite manage it. It’s not as quenching as lager but has some of the crispness. The citrus fruitiness of the IPA softens the sharpness, but IPA drinkers might be disappointed with the overall effect.
Pleasant easy drinking beer.
