Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists!
Today our adventure through ‘Beer’ has taken a most serious turn. Un-phased by the seriousness of this bodacious collab Kayla has stepped up to try this Mai Tai inspired Sour. We hope that her review will be most triumphant!

- Name: Boat Drinks VI
- Brewery: Mortalis Brewing Company X Swiftwater Brewing Co X Wyld Stallions
- Hops: N/A
- Grain: N/A
- Aroma : Lashings for fresh Pineapple, and Mango with a cheeky hint of coconut.
- Appearance : Opaque golden pineapple in colour with a very thin white film head when poured.
- Body : Medium to full bodied, very similar viscosity to a smoothie, Very low carbonation with no head retention.
- Taste: Huge Dose of Fresh Pineapple and Mango before slowly morphing to a pleasant sour draw which is then buffered by a bit of Banana giving it a tiny bit of claggyness, before morphing again into a mouth-smacking coconut finish. Very Sweet, and Very Thick Smoothie Sour.
Again this is another beer that falls into the “not a beer category” Although if I could play the time game, I would go back and ensure it was defined as a beer by all who drank it!
It was a little flat, and that did make it feel like it was missing something, but not terrible by any means. This is definitely one for those who like a good smoothie or really really fruity dank beers.
It was good but it wasn’t great, you can have abetter beer for a lower price but it was worth the experience. unfortunately it wont be creating world peace anytime soon. However it would at 6% a few of these would result in you being excellent to each other!
Kayla’s overall rating: 3.0/ 5.0
