Tartarus Beers – The Eagle DIPA (8.8% ABV)

Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,

A Tartarus beer so you are immediately struck by the stand-out can art (by @farrerart) it truly is art and is simply magnificent – our photos don’t always do it justice. As usual there is a QR code to scan for the story behind the name and this one is connected to Norse mythology.

  5. Aroma : Fruity, mainly citrus but with hints of tropical
  6. Appearance : Pale orange-gold opaque with a white head
  7. Body : Full bodied, medium carbon but with brief head retention

  9. Dietary restrictions : Allergens highlighted, unfiltered and vegan friendly

A real double IPA with a high strength of 8.8% (twice that of the beer it is based upon) that really packs a punch. This is a potent beer, which you can immediately tell and demands respect.

This is well hopped; it is not clear how many different varieties, but I would suspect it to be few. Enough complexity and depth to the flavour profile without it becoming too muddled. A great example of a DIPA.
