Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists!
Today Kayla is taking a break from the sours and in an unusual turn decided she wanted to cover this IPA, I for one am quite excited by this turn of events, so lets see what she makes of this one!

- Name: Volcanic Lightning
- Brewery: Azvex Brewing Company
- Hops: Citra, Idaho 7, & Azacca
- Grain: Barley, Oats & Wheat
- Aroma : Big hit of Grapefruit, with a touch of soap and Hop.
- Appearance : Opaque amber peach in colour with a tight white head when poured.
- Body : Medium bodied, with a good level of carbonation with good head retention.
- Taste: Very Zesty and fresh upfront, with a hoppy backing that comes forward towards the finish.
This was very fruity and tasty, but less complex to what I am used too, and in all honesty it was quite a nice change of pace.
It was quite hoppy at the finish which I am not a massive fan of but the level of carbonation was good and it makes your mouth water.
I would definitely have this one again!
Kayla’s overall rating: 3.5/ 5.0
