Hello and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Today we are taking a look at a vegan friendly California IPA from well respected brewery Siren. This one is presented in an eye catching can, featuring a lovely hop combination and promises to keep inviting you in to the next sip.
All is sounding (& looking) good with this one so far, so let’s see if these promises deliver when it comes to the taste.

1. Name : Huntington California IPA
2. Brewery: Siren Craft Brew LTD (Finchampstead, Berkshire)
3. Hops : Citra, Cascade & Mosaic
4. Grain : Barley & Yeast
5. Aroma : Juicy, yet zesty citrus notes with hints of tropical fruit. This has a light, appealing aroma that draws you in.
6. Appearance : Pours a light straw/golden colour with a one finger white head
7. Body : Medium body with a nice full mouthfeel.
8. Taste : The juicy, zesty hop combination works well with each adding great balance creating a very morish taste. The initial flavours make way to a very pleasant bitterness that lingers well on the palate and the promise of inviting you in to the next sip is not wrong as this is a very drinkable beer indeed.
As we are all aware Siren produce multiple different beers, so much so that they are one of those breweries that I do not always pick up their cans as there are quite a lot that sound very similar. In this case I am certainly glad that I picked up Huntington as this is an extremely drinkable, morish beer that I thoroughly enjoyed.
This was a bit of an impulse buy as part of the 4 for 3 in ASDA as I realised that I hadn’t had a light beer from Siren in quite some time and on the evidence of this I won’t be ignoring their beers as frequently as this. Although Huntington may not be world beating is a very nice beer indeed, and one that I would highly recommend.
