Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Today John is looking at his First sour of the Summer Sourz segment. Of course it has to be one of his favourite sour producing breweries, Merakai, this time they have teamed up with Bestens Brewery to make this possible sour masterpiece?!
Lets crack the can and take a closer look!
- Name :Frooti Booti
- Brewery: Meraki Brewing Co X Bestens Brewery
- Hops : Mosaic
- Appearance : Opaque Mango smoothie in appearance, no head when poured.
- Aroma: Full on fruity ripe mango
- Body : Thick like a smoothie, but very little carbonation
- Taste : Alcohol Mango smoothie flavour with a refined hit of alcohol. The sour hits you straight away going into a mouth watering finish.
It looks like Ollie Parsons of Meraki has done it again, cant say im picking up the strawberries in this one though, but its very nice.
However, at 6% its not one to get carried away with as it packs a punch as is easily forgotten with its fruit some flavour. I enjoyed this and found it refreshing great for a summer picnic on the beach or at a barbecue.
Also I have to just mention the artwork on the can, very sharp colours and the amusing and not at all relatable graphics added to an already enjoyable experience.
