Something a little bit different today, a Japanese style lager brewed with German hops and rice. It is then matured for 45 days, hence the name.

Name : 45 Days Rice Lager
Brewery: To ØI City, Svinninge, Denmark
Hops : Not specified (noble German hops per website)
Grain : Malted pilsner barley and rice
Aroma : Some citrus and hints cut grass
Appearance : Very, very pale with a slight haze and greenish tinge. Poured with a frothy white head
Body : Medium bodied, medium carbonated, with some head retention
Taste : A citrus start but not tart, if anything slightly sweet. Merest hint of bitter to the finish, when flavour dies away quickly
Dietary restrictions : Nothing stated
Pleasant easy drinking lager. Not as sharp and refreshing as some but leaves palate clean. Certainly a more interesting combination than many standard lagers.
Good body and head retention for a lager, possibly due to the addition of rice?
