Hey everyone, whatever you are doing STOP……Check This. Obviously, I mean check the review of our latest Dark Revolution beer named Check This, which is a 5%abv pale ale with a nice sounding hop profile of Lorel, Citra & Mosaic.
Sounds very drinkable to me, so enough waffle, it’s time for me to check out the beer!

1. Name : Check This
2. Brewery: Dark Revolution (Salisbury, England)
3. Hops : Lorel (Cold Side), Citra & Mosaic (Hot Side)
4. Grain : Barley & Wheat
5. Aroma : Appealing soft fruit aroma with all three hops combining well suggesting that this could be a rather pleasant beer on the palate
6. Appearance : Pours a hazy amber colour with a dissipating two finger fluffy white head
7. Body : Light to medium body that comes across well to back up it’s 5%abv
8. Taste : The hop combination gives off more of a soft fruit nose than what comes across on the palate. The initial taste is more subtle fleshy yet sweet soft fruit with a punchy bitterness that somewhat dominates proceedings. This bitterness lingers on the palate, long after the mouthful is consumed.
Check This looks good in the glass, has a great aroma and a pleasant rather than world beating flavour profile that I enjoyed overall but perhaps would not go out of my way to seek out on a regular basis.
To describe this simply as a pale ale is an interesting move as fans of the more traditional pale ale style may be expecting something safer rather than a punchy bitterness that is present from the first taste to a long, lingering experience.
Overall, I would say Check This is worth checking out as it is a pretty decent beer.
