Tooth & Claw – Squeeze Please (4.3% ABV)

Today we are looking at a rather interesting lemon gose from Tooth & Claw named Squeeze Please that comes in a rather attractive can.

For those who may be unaware Tooth & Claw is the craft beer arm of long established Camerons Brewery that are probably best known for their more traditional styles. This one sparked my interest somewhat is it promised something a bit different from the norm, Can Camerons pull it off? Let’s see..

1. 1. Name : Squeeze Please

2. Brewery: Camerons Brewery (Under Tooth & Claw), Hartlepool

3. Hops :  Wai-Iti

4. Grain :  Pale ale malt, Wheat Malt, Acidulated Malt. Also contains Lactobacillus Plantarum, Lemon Comminute and Sea Salt.

5. Aroma :  Ooohh, this smells very appealing. Very refreshing aroma of zesty lemon that reminds me a touch of lemon barley water

6. Appearance : Pours a hazy straw colour with a quickly dissipating two finger fluffy white head

7. Body : Medium body with a nice carbonation level that proves very pleasant on the palate

8. Taste : Zesty lemon indeed without ever feeling overly sour. This is certainly helped by the addition of sea salt that really balance proceedings. As the beer is drank it leaves the mouth feeling somewhat dry and craving a further mouthful….very moreish!

9: Other Information: Beer is unfined, Unfiltered and is Vegan friendly

Fair play Camerons for trying something different. Squeeze please brewed under the Tooth & Claw brand is a very refreshing and rather enjoyable gose.

I recently shared a can of this with a friend who has never been a fan of the Gose style and when I showed him the can he looked a little apprehensive. After he finished his, he said that he really enjoyed it. Taking that into consideration it must be a decent beer. I certainly agree with Steve as I thoroughly enjoyed this and will most certainly look to have it again.
