Brulo : Sabro Galaxy, DDH IPA (0.5% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Sam is back in the saddle for our latest low ABV review, this time with Brulo’s Sabro Galaxy (0.5% ABV). With a hop-forward name like that, expectations are naturally raised and given Brulo’s track record in this category, there’s plenty of interest in how much flavour can be delivered at such a low strength.

Let’s see how it pours and what Sam makes of it.

Brulo – Sabro Galaxy

Name: Sabro Galaxy

  1. Brewery: Brulo
  2. Aroma : Fresh pastry with a hint of Hop and pine.
  3. Appearance : Hazed golden colour when poured which dissipated to a light haze when settled with a maintained closed white head.
  4. Body : Medium bodied, good level of carbonation with pretty good head retention.
  5. Taste : This one was very light, quite wheaty upfront with a mellow hop finish, leaving a dry grassy/pine like finish.

Overall, I found this to be the most complex low ABV beer we’ve tried so far in 2026. The hop profile delivered more depth than many of the other entries in the series, with a noticeable wheatiness up front and a dry, grassy/pine finish that matched my Sabro and Galaxy hop expectations.

While it may not be a big, bold punch of flavour, it’s a strong example of what low ABV brewing can achieve when it’s done well.

Our overall rating: 3.8/ 5.0
