Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Sam is on review duties today as we crack open something loud, playful, and unmistakably Staggeringly Good. Hailing from Portsmouth, this UK brewery have built a reputation for bold flavours, eye-catching dinosaur related can art.
We have tried and covered some of their brews on the blog before, lets see if this one measure up.

Name: Fossil Thief
- Brewery: Staggeringly Good Brewery
- Aroma : Hop forward with a touch of lemongrass
- Appearance : Opaque pale yellow ale with a good tight white head.
- Body : Medium bodied, with a good level of carbonation with a decent head retention.
- Taste : This one was very hop forward with a tiny bit of lemongrass and a perfumed like aftertaste.
All in all, this is a solid showing from Staggeringly Good. Its confident, hop-led and very much in keeping with their house style. While the dryness and perfumed edge didn’t quite hit my personal sweet spot, it’s still a well-made hazy pale that holds its own in a very crowded field.
One for the hop lovers, and a beer I’d happily revisit under the right circumstances.
Our overall rating: 3.6/ 5.0
