Welcome back fellow beer lovers.
Easter is a time for traditions; family gatherings, questionable amounts of chocolate, and the annual debate about whether it’s acceptable to eat Mini Eggs or Cadburys creme eggs before breakfast.
This year, though, we’ve decided to take things up a notch by swapping the Easter Eggs and sweets for a glass and diving into something a little more “grown-up” from Vault City Brewing.

Name: Mini Chocolate Eggs 6% ABV
- Brewery: Vault City
- Aroma : Very sweet smelling, heavy on the chocolate with a vanilla backing.
- Appearance : Very dark in colour, with a slight off white to mocha foam when initially poured.
- Body : Medium bodied, good levels of carbonation and very smooth.
- Taste : Very sweet chocolate upfront with a definite sugary bite with a wash of vanilla to finish.
Overall, this was an enjoyable and easy-drinking stout from Vault City Brewing. It’s undeniably sweet perhaps a little too sweet for a full session but it remains smooth, pleasant, and very much in keeping with the indulgent spirit of Easter.
While it didn’t scream Mini Eggs in quite the way we expected, the chocolate and vanilla combination still delivered a satisfying, dessert-like experience.
Not one you’d reach for every day, but as a seasonal treat, it certainly hits the spot.
Our overall rating: 4.2/ 5.0
