Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists.
Today we are looking at Blueballs Lager from our friends at Sheep in Wolfs clothing (SIWC). Blue Ball won Gold in the 2022 European Beer Challenge in the 4.5-5.1% ABV Munich Helles Category, so I have high hopes for this Blue Balls Lager.

- Name: Edinburgh Blueballs Lager
- Brewery: Sheep in Wolfs Clothing SIWC
- Aroma : Crisp hop, and a mellow sweetness.
- Appearance : Cloudy, darkened gold in colour, with a thin white head.
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated, poor head retention.
- Taste : A very crisp Lager, with a nice mellow tang.
I came for the name, and I stayed for the can, This was a very nice full bodied, traditional Germanic larger with non of the ABV but all of the flavour. Im not a lager drinker but I enjoyed this one. The mellow tang added a nice edge to it, and its very affordable, and at 2.8% you can drink quite a few of these.
Our overall rating: 3.7/ 5.0
