Roosters Brewing Co – California Common West Coast Amber Ale (4.2% ABV) #CaliforniaCommon

Welcome back to The Eternal Hoptimists and our latest review.

A beer created in the style of the San Francisco so called ‘steam beer’. It’s an amber ale but fermented with lager yeast that aims to be smooth with only medium bitterness.

This beer falls into the easy drinking category, but is far from bland, its smooth and goes down a treat. Just the kind of beer I would be happy to drink all night!

It’s beautifully balanced, adding caramel sweetness to the mellow fruitiness of the hops that never becomes too bitter or overpowering.
