Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are looking at the one I have been looking forward to the most, Wishbone breweries Black Imp .
As I am sure you know by now, Wishbone Brewery was established in 2014, and is situated but a stone’s throw away from the well-established Timothy Taylors Brewery in Keighley. It’s owner, a true Yorkshireman, is a no nonsense bloke, and he strives to make no nonsense beer. So far we have had a look at Pixie Juice, Tiller Pin, Rubus Idaeus and Dassler but lets see if we can go out with a bang!

- Name : Black Imp (10.2%)
- Brewery: Wishbone Brewery
- Description : Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
- Aroma : Burnt caramel and chocolate with a sweet finish
- Appearance : Very Dark in colour witha slight Purple hue
- Body : Heavy Bodied, poor head retention but sleek like silk on the tongue
- Taste : Strong notes of velvety treacle goodness with a hint chocolate and berries and a strong tangy finish
Well I wanted to go out with a bang, and a bang is what I got. This one dethroned Pixie Juice from the top spot, and was utterly delicious! As my Grandad would have said “Korr, that’ll put hair on your chest” a true sign of a good pint!
This one is perfect for the imp-ulse buyer, and is firmly on our re-order immediatley list!
Should you want to have a taste for yourself you can buy this on Wishbone Brewery’s online store
