Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Old Tom is one of the classic beers of Britain being first brewed in 1899 and has won numerous awards over the years since. This beer is a modern take on the classic which has been brewed with bruised ginger root, sweet pear juice and added botanicals. This beer is not bottle conditioned.

- Aroma : A strong scent of ginger
- Appearance : Very dark brown, almost black, clear, with a brown head
- Body : Medium bodied with good level of carbonation but little head retention
- Taste : Dry ginger but not completely overpowering with malty hints in the aftertaste
A nice attempt at a new twist on a genuine classic. Ginger divides opinion and I suspect it will not be to some people’s taste but its more subtle than some ginger infused drinks. A winter warmer well worth looking out for.
