Abbeydale Ales – Salvation, Tiramasu Stout (6.3% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

I think you all know by now, that we love our dark sweet beers here at the Eternal Hoptimists, and given that Tiramasu is one of my father’s favorite sweets, of course, I gave him this one to review!

  1. Name: Salvation, Tiramasu Stout
  2. Brewery: Abbeydale Brewery
  3. Aroma : Strong noted of black coffee, a touch of chocolate and sweet vanilla.
  4. Appearance : Jet black in colour with a medium mocha head.
  5. Body : Full bodied, well carbonated, but rather weak head retention.
  6. Taste : Full on punch of freshly roasted coffee that mellowed into a sweeter vanilla finish.

Another after-dinner sweet mouthful, of a stout. But be wary, even though 6.3% I honestly can’t say you notice the strength, it’s the kind of beer that creeps up on you. If you have a sweet tooth, this one is a definite must-try!

Our overall rating: 3.8/ 5.0
