Varionica Craft Brewery – Pale Ale (5.2% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Today we are taking a closer look at another another beer from our Beer52 experiment.

In a market dominated by IPAs and American pale ales from the east or the west coast it is sometimes nice to have a straightforward old fashioned pale ale. This one is from a craft brewery in Croatia and the label boasts double gold medal at the European Beer Challenge 2020 in London.

  1. Name : Pale ale
  2. Brewery: Varionica Craft Brewery, brewed by Mrazek d.o.o., Pisarovina, Croatia
  3. Hops : ‘American varieties’ but otherwise not specified. Additional dry hopping
  4. Grain : Barley malt
  5. Aroma : Light, fruit and hoppy aroma
  6. Appearance : Amber, slightly hazy with a white head
  7. Body :  Full bodied, medium carbonation with decent head retention
  8. Taste : Dry and hoppy makes way for some fruitiness and a slightly bitter finish

A nice old style pale ale which is lifted by the dry hopping.

Our overall rating: 3.6/ 5.0
