Hello, and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Ah an ‘export lager’ another of those descriptions that have been misused over the years. Most have never been exported anywhere and would be more accurately described as being export strength. At 5.6% it is certainly that and a little stronger than those produced by the mass-market brewers.

- Name : Noble Fabric
- Brewery: Donzoko Brewing Company, Leith, Edinburgh
- Hops : Not specified
- Grain : Malted barley
- Aroma : Fresh, green hoppy, with hints of citrus lemon
- Appearance : A pale lemon/gold hue with a slight haze and produced a foamy white head
- Body : Fair body for a lager, well carbonated but with no head retention
- Taste : A malty start followed by a sweet, strong tang. The finish is dry with a touch of biscuit
- Dietary restrictions : Vegan friendly
A nicely flavoured and well-balanced lager with a good malty base that doesn’t overpower the hops. The potency is clearly there but it remains fairly easy drinking, I would happily drink 3 or 4 in an evening.
Peter’s overall rating: 3.8/ 5.0
