Sheep in Wolfs Clothing (SIWC)- Seasonal Stout (2.8% ABV)

1. Hops : N/A
2. Grain : N/A
3. Aroma : Malts, and Lime
4. Appearance : Dark Murky Brown in colour, with a very thin film open head when poured
5. Body : Thin bodied, good carbonation, no head retention.
6. Taste : Almost Dandelion and Burdock like with a twist of lime and a strong chilli kick to finish.
I think this one is a required taste, the chilli notes really build as you go. As usual despite the low ABV it packs a flavoursome punch, and to be honest i quite liked it!
The lads described it as “With it’s appearance the colour of Autumnal leaf much squelched and liquidated underfoot after a heavy rain storm, the season in question in this seasonal stout is definitely a ‘back half of the year’ one. The light smokey taste evokes memories of sodden October afternoons indoors as Grandad’s pipe tobacco drifts and hangs in the atmosphere. A ready rubbed glass of nostalgia.” which is a colourful description but I kind of get what they meant.
Also if your reading Matt, they also said you should rebrew it as “Grandads Mulch” I’m not entirely sold on the name, but do let me know what you think!
Sams Rating: 3.7/ 5.0
