Hello and welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists,
Today we are taking a visit to the North East of England, Newcastle Upon Tyne to be precise to showcase a beer from highly respected brewery Full Circle Brew Co. The beer that we are taking a look at is called White Noise and is a very interesting sounding Oat Cream IPA coming in at 6% abv and with a nice variety of hops.
Before I even crack the can, this beer sparked my interest in so many ways, so with this in mind I hope that the taste also delivers.

1. Name : White Noise
2. Brewery: Full Circle Brew Co. (Newcastle Upon Tyne)
3. Hops : Simcoe, El Dorado, Idaho 7, Citra & Galaxy
4. Grain : Barley, Oats & Lactose
5. Aroma : Has a soft, yet juicy aroma of tropical fruits with the variety of hops combining well to give off a very appealing nose
6. Appearance : Pours a hazy light amber colour with a fluffy two finger white head. Hints of sediment also present in the glass when poured
7. Body : Medium bodied beer with the lactose adding a nice creaminess to the mouthfeel.
8. Taste : Very nice creamy taste with a juicy tropical fruit hit backed by a lingering bitterness and a somewhat sweet finish. The combination of hops works very well creating a good balance in which each can be picked out, yet none dominates.
An oat cream IPA is not a style that you see every day so when we received our recent beers to review, I instantly jumped upon this one as it sparked my interest as soon as I saw the can. Reading more the beer is very well put together with the use of oats, lactose and five different hop varieties and I can honestly say that it all comes together well.
The beer has the appearance of a quality brew and a very appealing aroma. White Noise is one of those beers that you could easily quaff or equally savour as with each mouthful you can appreciate everything that is going on in the taste more and more.
Whilst it is very well put together and highly enjoyable, by the end of the can I just reflected upon what I had just drank and thought that perhaps it was missing that bit of oomph to make it a beer that can be considered amongst the elite. Overall, I enjoyed it, and I am certain that you will too but like myself you may look back and think that there are better beers out there.
Mark’s overall rating: 3.4/ 5.0
