Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome back to Into The Mild, the series where we celebrate one of the UK’s most underrated beer styles. Spotting a Mild out in the wild always feels like a bit of a victory these days, and this latest one turned up in a cracking setting. Church, the House of Fun down in Sheffield.

Name: Dark Mild, Restoration Series
- Brewery: Abbeydale
- Aroma : Slightly Smokey scent, and a tiny bit of malt
- Appearance : Dark chestnut brown, slightly cloudy with a white head when poured that quickly became a white film.
- Body : Very still, smooth and very easy drinking.
- Taste : Very gently taste, it had a light smoked coffee quality with a little malt at the back.
This was a very respectable offering of a mild, however after the punchy few I had a before it, it seemed quite lacklustre. I really liked the coffee like quality it had going, but I am going to stick to a nice West Coast for the rest of the evening.
