Welcome back, fellow beer lovers!
The transfer window may be closed, but we’re still signing new talent here at The Eternal Hoptimists. Stepping up for today’s fixture is Dom, who’s been handed the captain’s armband for another World Cup-inspired beer review.
Today’s beer is boldly carrying football’s favourite annual declaration: “It’s Coming Home.” but Dom will be the judge of that!

Name: It’s Coming Home (6.2% ABV)
- Brewery: Funky Fluid
- Hops: Nelson Sauvin & Hallertauer Blanc
- Aroma : Very Citrus heavy, maybe a little Wine like in scent.
- Appearance : Light Cloudy ale with a white frothy head when poured.
- Body : Quite bitey, medium to full bodied which is unusual for an IPA, good level of carbonation and head retention.
- Taste : Had a bit of hop and a light citrus aftertaste but given its body and percentage surprisingly tame on flavour.
This one had a surprisingly refreshing aftertaste considering its subtleness, a little lacklustre for a 6.2% but drinkable non the less.
Chris: “Not unlike England, its surprisingly benched!”
Dom’s overall rating: 3.1/ 5.0
