Welcome back, fellow beer lovers!
Just when you thought the tournament couldn’t get any more exciting, Funky Fluid have sent another contender onto the pitch. This time it’s Oranje, a Double NEIPA weighing in at a hefty 8.0% ABV, inspired by the famous Dutch side who always seem to arrive with a squad capable of winning it all… and somehow leave everyone wondering what went wrong.
Lets see is Sam can get to the bottom of this Squad Beer.

Name: Oranje (8.0% ABV)
- Brewery: Funky Fluid
- Hops: Citra, Motueka, & Nelson Sauvin
- Aroma : Hoppy, a touch of dry white wine with a cheeky bit of citrus.
- Appearance : Opaque deep orangey tipple, with a closed shocking white head when poured.
- Body : Medium bodied with a decent level of carbonation and head retention, a little dry in the mouth.
- Taste : Fresh and zesty upfront, a smidge of grapefruit before morphing to a dry white wine like finish.
Very morish, you could taste the weight in this one though so its not an easy drinker. But with a dangerous bit of flavour like that, you could be tempted into having another.
Sam’s overall rating: 3.7/ 5.0
